Alpha & Omega and in Between  by Arlo Moehlenpah 

 

Jesus can be described with words that can begin with almost every letter in the alphabet. No wonder He is called Alpha and Omega, which are the first and last words of the Greek alphabet. The following gives scriptures, which describe Jesus with words in alphabetical order.

 

(Rev 1:8 KJV)  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

(1 John 2:1 KJV)  My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

(Heb 12:2 KJV)  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

 

(Mat 3:11 KJV)  I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Omniscient

(John 16:30 KJV)  Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.

 

Omnipresent

(Mat 28:20 KJV)  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

(John 15:5 NKJV)  "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

Christians also can be described with words starting with almost every word of the alphabet. Some of the verses are as follows:

(Mat 5:14 NKJV)  "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

(Mat 5:13 NKJV)  "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

 (Rom 1:7 KJV)  To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

(1 Cor 4:1 NKJV)  Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

(1 John 3:2 KJV)  Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

 (1 Pet 2:11 KJV)  Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

 

(Acts 1:8 NKJV)  "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

 

There is a song  “If anyone asks you who I am, who I am….” Which includes many words to describe a Christian. You can add to this song some of the words above and also answer the evil spirits, which might ask “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?” (Acts 19:15 KJV)
